Think of a home from the outside to the inside. Matthews & Fields Lumber is a supplier of lumber, windows, doors, trusses, stairs, millwork, wood siding, decks, and steps. Matthews & Fields supplies mostly homebuilding contractors and home remodeling contractors. We also work with homeowners and people building their own homes!

Our expert staff is trained to be experts in specific areas. At our Henrietta location, we have a blueprint estimator, engineered wood expert, and a truss and wall panel engineer. At our Stonewood Avenue location we build interior door units, stairs, porch steps, cedar louvers, cedar screens, porch railings, wood brackets, and bay windows.

At Matthews & Fields Lumber, we still manufacture building products ourselves. On site, right here in town – to your exact specs.

Our stair department woodworkers are artists. After a computer-generated pattern is created we can make curved stringers, curved treads, bull nose treads, and returned treads in many species of wood. We can also provide many designs of railings.

Our window department can provide wood and vinyl windows for new construction or replacement windows. We assemble patio doors, build bays, and add extension jambs.

Matthews & Fields makes an extra effort to be a leader in technology. Because of our advances, the homebuilding industry has led the northeast in technology.We were the first to build roof trusses in the Rochester market. Jack Fields invented the stringer machine, which today is used across the country. Today we are the first to lead the industry in labor saving wall panels.
